VECTIS

At all times we will promote, encourage, facilitate and manage a brass band for the purpose of serving the community, it's members and charitable causes.

We support life long learning and inclusion for all, so that the education and performance of music go hand in hand.

diligo vos take est par ut diligo vos planto

It is almost exactly a year since we heard the awful news that Steve's life had ended. It is inadequate to write just how much I, and the band miss him. I want to keep my thoughts happy as I know they travel to him where ever he is. But know this, I'm just crushed my the loss of his friendship, his sparkle and his wit. Not so cut up about his feet though...
For me, no one has yet filled his shoes....... Love and peace Steve x
Please remember Steve's Dad, his sister Claire and his beloved girlfriend Mary. May you find consolation in the fact that Steve was greatly loved by all those who knew him x

Well said Mary. A special friend to many of us, I still miss him very much, as do all of his friends. I will always remember the good times (and there were many!) x x x

Yes, my thoughts are with his nearest & dearest, as well as with him. I miss him terribly too. What I’d give to be back in Ed Keynes car again on the way back from the European’s in Brum with the lovely aroma of those Stribbles feet that had all of the windows down on the M40 in freezing cold conditions. The classic impression he did of Malcolm Lewis expiring on stage, that still makes me cry with laughter, and his “one liners” that had us howling out loud, such as the “its his real hair” outburst to the adjudicators at the Crawley contest when Sam collected the prize for best Trombones. His passing is still such a huge loss, but he’ll live on in our minds, never forgotten.
