VECTIS

At all times we will promote, encourage, facilitate and manage a brass band for the purpose of serving the community, it's members and charitable causes.

We support life long learning and inclusion for all, so that the education and performance of music go hand in hand.

65th ANNIVERSARY

After a busy Summer we only had 4 short weeks to pull the 65th Anniversary concert together. Contacting guests, planning concert, organising food etc.

Isabelle waist for her solo in 'Highland cathedrial'

It was a glorious afternoon full of friendship and love for the band and what we try to do. Several founder members came, both bands played really well, Steph and Kelly made a superb buffet and our guest soloist, James, was his usual excellent self. All topped off by a brilliant time line of info and pictures by Mike. Great event well done x

Cornet players Pete, Tilly and Molly

One of the reasons Vectis works is the focus on the youth band. This is my choice as MD but I am fully supported by all the adults in the band. Couple that with the vast number of players who have decades of service and we can't go wrong x x

The year ended with a very successful school carol concert under the baton of dep. MD Jay and pleasing youth band fund raising activities.

Thank you for all your hard work and commitment it is very much appreciated. Happy new year and here's to 2013 ! x
