At all times we will promote, encourage, facilitate and manage a brass band for the purpose of serving the community, it's members and charitable causes.

We support life long learning and inclusion for all, so that the education and performance of music go hand in hand.

Well team VB we approach the end of another busy and rewarding year. We have, as always, made lots of good music, added to our programme and solo players and enjoyed being together and entertaining all who came to listen to us whether they be supporter or audience.
The next twelve months will see usual youth band contest, some new concert venues and even more challenging solo's for the youth players and concert items for all.
I have updated diary with as much as we know so far bit items and dates still to add :-)
Happy New Year everyone x

Gaffers 2015

We arrived in rather unexpected cold and wet weather at this years Old gaffers Festival. We have been the opening band here for many years and we always look forward to playing. Being in half term we usually have to re arrange a few seats and pieces and today was the same however the band of mixed youth senior and training played with style, showmanship and fun. We warmed up with three light pieces and supported the opening 'Pink Panther' theme before stating our programme. Thumbs up the Daisy W for great trom lead in 'pink' We always attract a crowd and today's audience was even bigger than usual. Could have been as our tent was warm who knows ;-) x Declan & Daisy T & Rose were all fine soloists. The band went down a storm and organisers and audience were most
impressed. Thank you everyone, job well done x
