Excellent castanets. Basses excellent after a slightly uncertain start. Troms really good. Cornet really good but could milk it more! Good trombone soloist. Cornets really good. Perhaps more bravado would be good. Nice accents at the end of the bars. Inner parts could support soloists slightly better. Good finish. Excellent start to the programme.
Mid All the traffic.
Nice start. Great bass sound, and very nice ensemble sound. Good counter melody lines. Shape is excellent. Some real feeling here-beautiful. Well done solo cornet –try to sing as much as you can. Good tuning to close and a decent bass pedal.
Pastyme with Henry
Horns and baritones try to articulate a little cleaner. Ensemble at A is good. Nice contrasting full section at B. Try to get the bare intervals in tune. Solo lines at C could be clearer but they are well played. Good kit work at D. Basses are nice and bouncy on the bass line too. Try to make the inner articulation come through clearer. Line before F needs to be more ‘tripletty’ staggered entries good. Builds well at G. really good feel. Dynamics handled well. Nice work in horns. Changes between sections could perhaps be more confident. Ending really good.

A really enjoyable programme showing both musicianship and showmanship. You make some really nice band sounds, showed good ensemble and technique and picked a very entertaining programme. Bravo and thank you!

Good start. Solid sound. Well done solo cornet. Well done 2nd solo cornet. Good rhythmic kit playing.
Drunken Sailor - trombone feature Jessica
Confident trom at opening. Nicely played together. Good contrasts. Loads of character – well done.
Guava Guy - Euph feature Declan
Confident start across the band. Well played euph – your bow and handshake reminded me of Bob Childs – very professional! Bravo.
Concert Overture
Good start. Try to look after the little notes too. Bravo tuba solo! Nice ensemble in cornets. Well controlled with quieter section. Good build to finish.

An excellent programme presented well and played with confidence and flair. Good soloists backed by a confident band full of ability and future potential. Very enjoyable! Bravo and well done!

Star Lake
Characterful start. Good dynamic contrast. Good bass passage. Accents before D could perhaps have been clearer. Good accents after E. excellent finish.
Wandering Star - bass trombone feature Abbie
Nice ensemble to start. Lovely deep euph sound. Bass trom – well done to dig out your opening notes! Band accompanies well. F has character. Solo cornets add well to the good work from the soloist. Ensemble could be better at I. loads of character to finish. Well done!
Drummer’s Delight
Really rhythmic start. Cornets play well but could perhaps cut across the sound more. Percussion solo parts are great and the band plays really well together. Kit solo is very good, maintains interest, uses the kit well, keeps the rhythm and gives a fantastic lead back into the band. Band sound is good. Excellent band sound in the lead to the finish.
Hymn
Nice start. Try not to talk during the performance! Crec is good – keep it going all the way to the dim. Some lovely legato playing. Great bass sound and the sop does a difficult job well. Ensemble not always perfect but a very nice performance.
Something Stupid - cornet feature Hanna and David
Euph could be a little more positive at the start. Cornets are nice-lovely smooth playing. Perhaps play through the phrases more/go to the top of the phrase. But you play really well together. The tune goes round the band very nicely through F and G. Nice sounds to finish.
Ghostbusters
Very atmospheric start. Great octaves between Troms and basses. Great feel from 6 excellent ensemble at 30 and 34. Quaver could be louder under the long notes before 42. Semi’s handled really well. Transitions excellent. Percussion very good. The band plays this really well. An excellent finish.

Thank you very much for this performance. Varied and musical, the balanced programme was played well. Your soloists were really good and the band makes a lovely sound. You seemed to really enjoy ‘Ghostbusters’ and this was a really good finish to a high quality performance. Well played!
