VECTIS
At all times we will promote, encourage, facilitate and manage a brass band for the purpose of serving the community, it's members and charitable causes.
We support life long learning and inclusion for all, so that the education and performance of music go hand in hand.

Can I just say........
Another Rylstone season draws to an end and we now get ready for the Autumn rehearsals, Christmas and the approaching New Year. I just wanted to say a few words about Rylstone and comment on what's coming up :-)
I always feel the band enjoys the Rylstone concerts and this year not only did I feel we did that, but our playing was solid right from the start. Usually, and including the fact that we introduce many new items every year, we start gently and grow into the concerts. This year I feel we have been strong throughout which is very pleasing.
Thank you to:
All of you - we had excellent commitment and full bands every concert. Well done x
The audience - always support us brilliantly.
All soloists - really super playing from all ages x
Our visiting guests, past players - great to have you with us x
Senior management team - Pete, Elling, Tony, Mike and Susan. The band is well supported by all your hard work :-)
Bucket family - not only for the support of Vectis but for the whole season for all the bands
My family - especially Chris who always supports and helps me.
God - Got the weather right this year....
Now, returning to rehearsals we have a very strong base to build on, we are match fit. This does not mean we rest on our laurels but review our strengths and weaknesses and work towards playing as well as we can in SCABA contest and at our Christmas Concert.
Christmas Concert - Last Saturday in November, venue details to follow. New solos 'Wandering Star' and 'Frosty the Snowman' open to any troms/basses x 'Sylvia' for Glynis. Anyone else want or has a solo they would like to play just let me know x
:-) See you all Thursday Youth 7pm Senior 8pm :-)
