Gaffers 2013 - Report and Gallery :-)

Old Gaffers 2013

Again we were delighted to be asked to open the best festival on the IOW, Yarmouth Old Gaffers. A regular in our concert itinerary I always look forward to this concert and feel it is an excellent way to start our season and this year was no exception.

Not an easy engagement for a young band also half term adds pressures. One of Vectis brasses major strengths is that we are a team and no one ever minds moving or helping out if there is a small change in seating. I thank and congratulate you on your professionalism.

Lots of great playing to be had and i really enjoyed the soloists ( Phil, Faye, Isabelle,Declan, Daisy ( both of them) Rose ) Special mention to John and Daisy for holding the bass part well, Sterling job...sorry John, awful joke ! ;-)   Percussion lads improve every concert. Henry's Lord of the dance was the best its been, Sam great kit work and Andrew lovely solo playing in Highland farewell.

Gallery below, full of wonderful pictures from Littelton and Woodley family x thank you :-)
