VECTIS

At all times we will promote, encourage, facilitate and manage a brass band for the purpose of serving the community, it's members and charitable causes.

We support life long learning and inclusion for all, so that the education and performance of music go hand in hand.

What Vectis did next.....

Well we approach the end of the Summer season at Rylstone and the concerts seem to have gone really quickly this year. Very enjoyable music making with lots of excellent playing and most impressively, great attendance and dedication by all our players. Unlike some bands who shy away from playing at Rylstone in August, we support the bandstand right through the Summer - well done one and all.
1st rehearsal back is on Thursday 6th September and will be a youth band contest run through, provisional prog below :-) Senior band the following week will be prep for RAFA gig and 65th bash. Both band will also be preparing for Xmas gig too so lots going on for the Vectis blowers x

Don't forget to note change in Xmas gig date too x
Lovely to see past players rejoining the Vectis 'family' for some of the Summer gigs x Thank you to Bethan, Carrie Anne, Michael Mc and Beth Sides. Delighted to have you blowing with us again.
Welcome and well done to all new training band members who have joined us for the Summer for the first time and to Abbie our new bass trombone star and Sue our new back row cornet player, lovely to have you with us :-)
Only two more Rylstones to go,fingers crossed the sun shines :-)
