My thoughts:
A day of laughs, fun and good music making. I thought both of our bands gave a really solid performance. It was committed, confident and controlled. We were a team not only in our music making but in our friendship. I don't like to single individuals out but I thought that Dan on sop, all percussionists, David L and Michael G and of course flugel soloist Jessica were really outstanding.
I thought the standard of playing was good through out the day and all of the bands gave pleasing performances. It was lovely to be among so many other young musicians.
I would also like the personally thank Elling for his wonderful band management on the day x
It was your day as young players. I could have played 6 adult helpers in the training band but I didn't. I only played 4 and they were all on bottom parts. No adults playing sop or solo horn for us ;-)
Thank you for all your hard work you are a credit to yourselves and the IOW x x
