A CONCERT held by the IW County Branch of the RAF Association to raise money for the Battle of Britain Wings Appeal was deemed a huge success.
The event, which raised £400, was held at Newport’s Riverside Centre and attracted more than 100 people, who enjoyed a raffle, music and entertainment from the Vectis Brass Band and the Wight Diamond Corps of Drums marching band.
Vice-chairman of the IW branch of the RAF Association, Larry Laws, said: "The event was a great success and I am very grateful to everyone who was involved.
"The music was superb once again and some much-needed funds were raised."
