VECTIS

At all times we will promote, encourage, facilitate and manage a brass band for the purpose of serving the community, it's members and charitable causes.

We support life long learning and inclusion for all, so that the education and performance of music go hand in hand.

1st Rylstone

Well it's that time of year again. We have, for the first time, opened our season early with a gig on March 5th so one ticked off already.

The band really enjoys Rylstone and always put on a good show and I know we are all looking forward to playing.
Here are some handy hints :

Weather : A decision regarding weather will be posted here at 6.45pm at the latest. We will be sensible and not play at all if the weather is inclement but we have contacts who live in shanklin who advise us so you will have to go with the decision right or wrong!

Uniform : Adults ( over 18's) black jackets/green ties - Youth ( under 18's) purple shirts/black bottoms

Music : I will carry the music at all times

Stands : You will bring your own stand at all times

Attendance : As usual I will keep an band diary where absences may be recorded prior to engagements so that deps/ programme adjustments can be made. Thank you for your help in this matter

Posters : I have a selection of coloured laminated posters, just let me know if you want one x

That is all.....

Diary comments
Steve and I are off to Paris with Merc on the 17th June, so will not be able to Rylstone or Wight brass rehearsal. The only other absent dates that I know so far will be 13th - 31 August.
Sorry
