1st Rylstone - March 5th 2010

Well 1st one all done and dusted. Great weather so good audience. Well played team. Not easy for us today as very early in our prep 4 season and quiet a few "top" chairs away but a solid afternoon's playing was enjoyed very much by the audience so thanks to all. Special mention to Maria, Jake S, Jessica and basses who all played really well x Please check rehearsals dates and bands as we are now in full prep for Medina and Ent. contest x

Really enjoyed yesterday, but feel it does need to be said that when our MD is talking to the audience, players need to have a bit more respect and not sit talking at the top of their voices all the time. It gives a scrappy impression on the band and everyone else who doesn't sit there talking, plus it is really disrespectful to Mary. Sorry to be a moan, but I found it really annoying.

Agreed. Principal Players should tell their sections. You may talk to your neighbour about the music you are about to play. But quietly. Although some players were 'pissed off' about no music or some stupid reason like that!
