VECTIS
At all times we will promote, encourage, facilitate and manage a brass band for the purpose of serving the community, it's members and charitable causes.
We support life long learning and inclusion for all, so that the education and performance of music go hand in hand.

oh dear Mrs Teague, have you been talking to Neil again? Seriously though I must admit, rather neat.
The saddest thing is that I remember dancing to it over 40 years ago. All the groups (yes they were groups not bands then) played Beatles music at dances.
Handbags in the middle girls and form a circle, here we go.
I think you can guess who this is. Help, am I that old?
Steph I would give anything to have been around then I was born too late. U tube has loads of these lego bits they are great. Thanks for he chat today stil unsure. Chris thinks I'm starting the menopause.....
Ladies, some of us really ARE too young to remember that long ago. Mind you, it meant I had a lot of catching up to do.
Lovin the lego clip!!
:0))
Well, as Mary's given the game away, yes it is me!
Just think though, if you had been around then you would be as old as me now, if you see what I mean!
The sixties were fun, even on the IOW which was very different to what it is now. Went to the first two pop festivals, Godshill (in aid of the indoor swimming pool association) and Wootton but was living off the Island for the Afton one, which is the one everyone remembers. I fell asleep sitting up during Bob Dylan's performance because he kept us waiting.
Shanklin Youth Club was still in its infancy and I remember going on the train to visit Ventnor and Wroxall youth clubs. Stop me quick, I'm sounding like an old dear. No comments from the balcony please.
Hope the chat helped, speak over the weekend.
Could someone explain to this Luddite how you change the title at the top, presumably you have to have a google account or something.
My user name is the user name of my blog and it seems to post under that automatically. Good reherasal last night will try to phone later today to tell you all about it Mary x
1. John had light brown hair, Paul nearly black, not vice versa.
2. The hi-hat would be nearest to Ringo, not furthest away.
3. They got all 3 guitars right, though.
Neil, I know mate! Such things offend us but I just love how they caught the spirit of Beatle mania. And it must have taken a while to do. Not as good as the juggler though...
Has anyone got a spare anorak? I really would love to understand this Beatle mania; IN ADDITION TO MARY, NEIL WELCH IS BEATLE MAD, SO IS BERN STUIVER, are there any more out there reading this?
Just joking folks, everyone's got their hobbies. I like ballet, pigs, irritating politicians who are irritating, museums and a host of things other people would find boring. What's more I can't play a musical instrument much to my chagrin (nice word that).
